Training and Behaviour Consultancy - Specific behaviour problems
How does it work?
Your consultant, Suzy, will visit your home where the consultation will take place. This can also take place outside where you and your dog are most comfortable. Consultation is approximately 2 hours but is not time dependent, It's as long as you need it to be, a second follow up session and continued support is included.
The objective is to set your dog up for success and your application will provide the opportunity to choose a preference for introductions to your dog to minimise stress. Full support is provided for both ends of the leash​.
Suzy provides welfare centred, ethics focused training and behaviour support and is a member of Snout and About, Ireland's leading team of behaviour professionals.

Suzy is fully certified and an internationally accredited trainer and behaviour consultant with the IAABC. Areas covered in Kilkenny, Laois, Wicklow, Waterford, Wexford, Kildare, Dublin, Carlow and Tipperary. ​​Virtual support available nationwide.

What is Behaviour Consultancy?
Behaviour consultancy goes deeper than training. It identifies the emotions and functions behind behaviour and creates a personalised plan to help you and your dog feel safe, supported and understood. While training is all about teaching your dog new behaviours, behaviour consultations are all about modifying existing behaviours.

What can you expect?
Our initial consultation is as long as you and your dog need. This is usually approx. 2 hours long, but we ask clients to allow for up to 3 hours. This takes place in your home or on your dog's walk route.

Full diagnostic assessment to provide an understanding of what's happening and why

Coaching for you as your dog's trainer

Looking at your dog's full learning history
I then structure your individualised behaviour modification program. Every dog and their guardian gets a fully customised behaviour plan designed around their needs, routine, environment and emotional wellbeing. These can be peeled back or modified any way you need.

Follow up & Additional Support
A follow up and virtual follow up is included in the initial consultation fee. Additional follow ups can be advised depending on the nature of the presenting behaviour.
Full collaboration with your dog's care team is also included where necessary. I work directly with your Vet, groomer, daycare or dog walker (if applicable)

Honestly can’t recommend Suzy enough !! If you’re on the fence about getting a dog trainer do it !!! I have been working with Suzy for a number of months now. I first went to suzy with a problem which arose from my dog using a kennels and in result leaving her having issues with men. She can also be dog reactive in certain situations.
